This NAIDOC Week, as a Specsavers team member you can participate in our Give the Gift of Sunglasses Appeal by making a donation and supporting Aboriginal children in central Australia.
Each pair of sunglasses costs $10 and Specsavers will match your donation.
During eye tests, young Aboriginal children often need their pupils dilated, a process that can be uncomfortable and even a little scary, and afterwards the bright light outside can be overwhelming for their sensitive eyes.
But something as simple as a pair of sunglasses can make all the difference. Not only do sunglasses help protect their eyes after the test, but they also put children at ease making them feel special, valued and cared for.
Through this appeal, we're hoping to donate 2,000 pairs of sunglasses to The Fred Hollows Foundation program partners in central Australia.
