Restore sight as a present
For my 21st birthday, my goal is to raise funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation to continue the legacy of an Australian legend - Fred Hollows.
Imagine for a moment not being able to see the faces of your loved ones, the beauty of a sunset, or the pages of your favorite book. Sadly, this is the reality for millions of people around the world who suffer from avoidable blindness.
The Fred Hollows Foundation is an organization close to my heart because they are dedicated to restoring sight and transforming lives. Through their work, they provide access to quality eye care, train local eye health workers, and perform sight-saving surgeries in some of the most remote and underprivileged communities.
Right now, 9 out of 10 people who are blind don't need to be and an operation that costs as little as $25 can help restore sight to someone who is needlessly blind, and change their life forever!
